Legal structure (Nick)
The Loomio poll is split 10 to 9 in favor of SPC. Discussion followed about how to resolve which to go with. The primary suggestion is to have the group talk it out and see if there are any paramount objections to either structure to what the group mission and goals are. Decision - The next meeting is set up as a Branding workshop so we will plan on taking this up at a later meeting.

TriDEC Art And Culture Day April 15, 2015 (Nick)

Nick accepted Davin Dias request that the makers’ group is asked to speak at 9:10 am. Other groups are Adam Brault on the public market and Scrape. Amanda wants to come if can get time off. Nick plans to talk about how the maker’s group can unify the TriCities by creating reciprocal agreements with other groups. For example., Chris Smith Intellegration and Bicycling fabrication for kids

Branding Workshop (Nick)
Build a narrative around the maker space: “Born at the confluence of three rivers, and three cities, makers have converged to develop a unified community of DIY enthusiasts, artists, technologists, and educators.” “Uniting Art and Technology”

Answer questions including: What’s our story? Who’s it for? Why do we exist?
Components: Artists, Tech, Education …
Decision – The current name - Invent Space - is provisional. We can change it if the branding leads that way.

Decision - The board will meet once a month on Monday before one of the semimonthly meetings.

Three board members will be gone for the first April meeting.

Nick and Tanya will meet later on this week to develop a straw man business process model to start the process of everyone knowing what needs to be done to get the makers’ space up and running. The straw man will be presented to the group to modify and refine.
