Zeal Photography Exhibition

RDB Richard D. Bartlett Public Seen by 340

Zeal Education Trust
Early December
Exhibition

Hi there!

We are looking for a venue to host Zeal Education Trust's end of year exhibition for our Photography Course.

There will be six young photographers participating (aged between 13 and 18 years old), with between four and six photographs each.

We would hope to use the whole space to host the exhibition for a full week, and have one evening booked for an opening night. We are really interested in the idea of other people/organisations/events using the space in the evenings (and maybe even during the day) while the exhibition is up. I was at 19 Tory Street for an event recently and was intrigued by the idea.

We haven't yet decided on a theme or concept for the exhibition (as we decide this with the students), but we could collaborate together to decide on something relevant to other users of the venue around the time we are proposing (late November/Early December).

We're all good to hang the exhibition ourselves, and we would be happy to mind the space each day and are able to open and lock up. We take care of all advertising and the organising and running of opening nights.

The Photography Course at Zeal provides an avenue for young people to cultivate creativity and grow their passion for photography. Through photography, we help young people build their own self-confidence and self-worth.

I feel like joining with you and using this space for our exhibition could open up doors for more collaboration between Zeal and the Concerned Citizens Collective in the future - we love your ethos and would love to work together.

Thanks

NL

Sorry for all the @natalialombardo mentions - must be a lot in your inbox. Worth noting that a Mana Poneke meeting is to be held on the same day as this from 2pm. @joelcosgrove any idea how long those meetings tend to go so both of these can work together?

Hey @natilombardo I’ve been asked by a group called Women Aren’t Wolves productions wanting to put a play on in the space on the 4,5,6 December from 7-9pm. I see on the calendar Zeal's exhibition is ending on the 4th December. Will they be done by 7pm so Women Aren’t Wolves can use it then?

Hi, I think so, but let me check with them; will the possibility of them packing up the next day work? or the play needs the space all emptied out on the 4th?

I've just asked them, I imagine it will be fine. Zeal had the space booked first so they have the right to do what they want imo.
