Breakout session: Gov Hack

We are posting a series of Loomio discussions about sessions and talks coming up at the conference, so participants can have a chance to discuss the topics, ask questions, and interact with the presenters.
GovHackNZ, a hands on taster of the July event. After a "hackathon 101" run through all participants will then experience, in 45 minutes, the joy, fun, challenges and delight of a mini-hackathon.With the learnings from day 1 we will self form into teams, get our hands on tools and deliver MVPs to solve real world problems - this is hackathonIn 45 minutes.
Mike Riversdale's 3 blobs of life underly his passion in connecting people, explaining stuff and getting things done. Together with his popular Kiwi tech podcast, Access Granted, and his years of experience of business mentorship he is a driving force behind the highly successful barcamp/hackathon scene in New Zealand. Tying this together with a focus on ensuring people work towards"open government" and specifically "finding the value in open data" he is organising the July HackGovNZ and specifically the Wellington event to be held in the MBIE Stout Street venue. This event will be the perfect 'do-y' to the OS/OS 'hui'.
