Students For Cooperation Meet-Up in January?

A Annmarie Public Seen by 89

'Students For Cooperation' is a coop of all the student coops in the UK. It's a great opportunity to meet like-minded people from all over. The next meet-up will probably be in January, possibly in Leeds on Jan 24th/25th weekend? Only 2 of us would need to get involved with the meeting - although the more the merrier :) - but more Leeds people would need to be involved in providing floor space for people to sleep and something social in the evening. Please comment not only what you think but also whether you could provide sleeping space / would like to show off the food coop or allotment / if you're having a party that they could come to :)

If we can provide enough sleeping space (~20) and have a handful of enthusiastic volunteers to make this happen that would be wonderful.

What could SfC achieve?
- Shared Resources for all Student Coops and people wanting to set up coops with the website www.students.coop
- A link between all the soon to be graduates that have been involved with student coops but would like to start workers coops
- A support network so that starting coops can be supported by established coops

Join the SfC loomio to discuss ideas :)

Ben Lawson "Put me down for two people who can stay with me. I'm in the process of starting a coop so may be of help. I'm off though until Jan 23rd so I'll only be in touch by email until then. We may be able to sleep more people, just need to ask other people firelight (housing coop).
this should happen, sorry i can't do more to make it so,
ciao"

Some people will be able to crash at cornerstone for sure up to 5 I would think would be manageable although if necessary we could squeeze more i'm sure. A fire on the Allotment would be nice if it is a still clear evening. I reckon we should not rely on that being possible. Great looking forwards to it! Luke x
