Christmas Tourney Afterparty
I have been discussing with my boss at Foresteres Hall in Collingwood to host the After Party for Christmas tourney at the upstairs bar.
I want to make sure there are now issues with this, I mean im quite biased(Im of age, I drink, I party).
They may be able to cut us a deal to open the bar for us exclusively if we have the numbers. What do you think, yay, or nay?

Good location, closeby the city. Could be a go-er.

I may not be here that weekend, but going out afterwards is a tournament tradition. Foresters sounds like an excellent location for this, isn't too far, and is close to other places for food etc.

I'm usually on the losing side of this, but I'll jump in anyway. My preference is for having a party at Flagstaff, which kinda naturally starts during the tournament and goes until when everyone leaves. There's heaps of people who want to keep playing pick up. We need people to stick around and pack down. It's cheaper for everyone etc. Why outsource something we can do better ourselves?

I'm not sure if this proposal relates to Sunday evening or Saturday evening.
Andrew, I think that in planning discussions your proposal does seem on the losing side, but every time we have booked a venue, it has always been hard to drag people away from the courts (Sat especially). Provided the weather is good, I think this will always organically happen.
Another alternative I heard is that Dave (potentially) offered his warehouse? I'd like to know if this is a possibility.
We could also raise money for the club from drinks if it's at a venue we run.
I'd like to propose that we do Fri night at the warehouse, Sat night at the courts and Sunday at Foresters.

And this hasn't been an issue this year but just for the record, I think we all agree prizes and group photo should be at the courts, (not hours after at a venue that excludes the under agers or early flight departures.)

PS. I am in talks with Mountain Goat and Foresters. Perhaps I can work out a deal with both to have like 5$ schooners of goat for the afterparty....
