Start time change: We realized that if we start at 4:30, that we only really have 1 hr 40 minutes of discussion time before people start arriving for the potluck. A few of us agreed that starting at 4pm would give us a bit more than 2 hours that we need to get through all the agenda items. We want to start at 4pm sharp so please arrive by 3:50 to get a cuppa and settle in. We'll aim to finish by 6:15 so we can set up for the potluck. Sylvia will post some items for discussion and I'll put them into a timeline. I will be asking for volunteers for the following roles: timekeeper, minute taker, potluck welcomer (greeting people as they arrive and sharing briefly about CSA start-up). It would be great to have a karakia for the meal if anyone would like to offer.

Several of us (Anna, Sylvia,Shannon, Danyel,Roderick,Samantha) met up yesterday at Go Eco to work on the CSA Action Manual and concluded theres a lot to discuss and get done!!

We put together the following plan of action as Agenda for Saturday with the goal of consolidating some of it and starting Process Manual that our progress and decisions are recorded as a working document we can add to and alter on our CSA establishing journery as we go.

Proposed Agenda -

VISION & Mission Statement - (facillitated by Samantha) Define and 'complete'.

OVERVIEW (Proposal by Sylvia) of the 3 Main Aspects/sectors of a CSA (1. Food Suppies 2. Administration Hub 3. Customers) and list down whats involved in each of these 3 areas and as an initial step to working on these form into 3 working Teams according to the areas most relevant to us / that we most identify with or prefer to work on. Each Team will meet as they are able to and report back on their progress, challenges, successes etc at the main monthly meetings.

FRESH LOCAL PRODUCE (co ordinator Sylvia) once a month $50 boxes Local Fresh Chemicalfree Seasonal Food offered initially as a starting place to Core Team plus a produce sales & swap/barter table at our monthly meetings. Also brief outline on choice of produce standards PGS system and proposed Box supply plan.

FINANCIALS, Legal Structure & Administration - we need a Bank Account, Treasurer & Secretary etc.

CSA ACTION Manual 3.2 (suggestion by Shannon) that outside of meeting times we each jot down our answers to each of the questions and bring or submit (whoevers available every 2nd Tuesday to meet at Go Eco Community room ) to discuss and record our agreed to 'at this stage' answers in the Process Manual.

PROMOTION & Resources - (preliminary pamphlett creator, Danyel) to be used as a hand out to possible growers, potential customers and supporters of this new, to this bioregion, regenerative food production and supply model.

FLOW CHART - (initial draft, Shannon) I think this will be a step by step on the Farm to Customer plan.

KOHA/DONATION - to GoEco for use of community room.

Meeting will by our delicious friendly pot luck meal and then interesting dvd and clips about Food Connect in Australia & the wonderful Farm Trusts etc they are initiating etc

Looking forward to your company, contributions and views on these topics as we get it together and make progress on our positive difference enterprise - Waikato's Food Connect CSA!

Health & Happiness to all, Sylvia :)

Hi Alvaro. We'll miss your wise input on Saturday and your company. Please let us know if you have anything for me to bring to the meeting on your behalf--particularly as it relates to the vision and mission (see the link to that document)--but it could be any input. Thanks.

Wow - that's an impressive agenda - thank you Sylvia. I am unable to make the meeting but will join the potluck. On other news, with some sort of agreement drawn up and a financial contribution, the CSA will be able to use (if we would like to) the Kaivolution space late Saturday afternoons and all day/evening Sundays. This will be for farmers to drop off, packing of boxes etc. and pick ups.

We'll start our meeting with looking at the visions and missions we created together, refining them, agreeing to them for the time being, knowing that it is a work in progress. Please come with your own copy of the vision and mission as we'll go over these together. I can make a few extra copies for those that don't have access to a printer.
