CoTech Retreat 2017

Hi everyone,
I've been in touch with Wortley Hall to see if we can use the venue again for this year's event and we have a provisional booking for 3 nights and 2 days 27-29 November for 49 rooms plus the ballroom and Henry Collins lecture room - same as last year.
The rates are as follows:
£102 pp single occupancy
£87.00pp sharing in bedrooms
£35.00pp day delegate rate

£57.00pp dinner and day delegate rate

We will need to pay a 25% deposit to confirm the booking.
I will start a proposal for 1 week on this so that i can get back to Wortley with confirmation or declination.
As an aside to this, given that costs were difficult for some, we could ask Solid Fund to help with costs for those that are not a financial position to cover the costs.

Do we want to book Wortley Hall for the 2017 CoTech retreat?

Thanks to everyone who voted. We will proceed with the booking at Wortley Hall, but I've noted that there is some concern about the price being prohibitive to smaller coops and sending as many people as coops would like. Once we have put down the deposit, I will work on different approaches to ensure as many people who want to come can

It was a great event. Let's do it again but even better! Now we know what we're talking about we can achieve huge amounts.

I think it's a fun venue located equally inconveniently for northern and southern coops. It would be good to have something booked.

I thought it was a good place, and we'll know our way around this time!

Happy to support the proposal, and as with the 2016 event I'd love to be there, but sadly can't guarantee that (and if I am able to get there it would only be on a day trip basis). So don't rely on my ticket purchase to make the finances stack up!

Not sure another full-on retreat is the best way forward in terms of time and expense commitment. Will go with the flow, though.

I'd feel more comfortable with a less expensive place, to be sure. What about somewhere like Unstone Grange? http://unstonegrange.co.uk up to 36 people -- though sharing bedrooms, hostel style. Other places???

I personally prefer a cheaper place to be able to go more than one member from our organization but If the venue it is decide at least one of us will participate.
