[Organization] Weekly coop-wide updates
Hi all,
As the number of topics address in each of the working groups is steadily growing and it's becoming more and more difficult to stay on top of things, I figured we could use this thread to post short, simple weekly updates so to keep all the members up-to-date on everything that's going on.
Basically, one person per WG would dedicate 15 minutes each week to write a quick update on what's going on in the WG and post it to this thread.

[Organization] Weekly updates - Call for volunteers Closed Fri 13 Jul 2018 12:02PM
Thanks to all who participated in the vote!
Let's proceed like this
1. I will add one comment for each WG to the main thread, each acting as a "container" for the coming updates (later today or tomorrow at the latest)
2. Those who volunteered are invited to add the "thumbs up" reaction to those WG containers for which they are willing to report
3. Let's begin the reporting as soon as possible
Thank you everyone!
Please vote YES if you can/want to dedicate some of your time to update this thread and NO if you don't have the time/capacity to do so, along with the WGs you can take care of.
Thanks!

I can't add that to my plate at this time, but think this is a great thing to include in the scope of the ops teams as they form... :)

Don't have the capacity at present - but think it would be a worthwhile activity for a member to do. :) Thanks in advance.

I’m afraid I don’t have time to keep up with everything as it is, so couldn’t accurately summarise what is going on for others.

Not actually confident of my ability to do this reliably, but might be able to provide occasional updates.

In this comment I volunteered to contribute in the Editorial group - which at that time seemed to have no activity and no membership. I was puzzling over the absence of an explicit self-description or map of social-coop - as a project, a community or a system.
So YES I volunteer to develop a strand of R&D activity in the Editorial WG, which collaboratively evolves such a map - for outsiders and insiders - and offers interpretations of its implications in refining week-by-week practice and priorities in social.coop.
I’m sure this is just a part of what the WG might be expected to cover. So until the WG has a formal membership and working brief, @michele I’ll be happy to coproduce the update alongside you. It’s natural that the WG should interface with Reading and Community.
