National Taxation Bureau of Taipei (NTBT), Ministry of Finance indicated that, for foreign taxpayers use to go abroad frequently owing to their job nature, they need to appoint different agents to apply for different documents respectively, such as tax certificate or other required documents. What if all the applications can be done at once? Not only for time-saving, but taxpayers will no longer be worried to be bothered to fill out tons of forms. Therefore, to meet the specific requirement, NTBT has provided a customized and innovative service called "Making Appointment with Happiness". As long as submitting the application in advance, foreign taxpayers can enjoy versatile and customized services.

NTBT explained that, "Making Appointment with Happiness" service is based on the foreign taxpayers' miscellaneous needs. They can make a list of requirements for the whole year to NTBT in advance. After that, NTBT will assign these requirements to the designated persons with full attention like a housekeeper. In addition, for the sake of foreign taxpayers' convenience and easy access to making appointment with happiness, the old similar and relevant application forms have been integrated into one piece of multi-functional tickbox paper with all similar and even more application items listed on.

NTBT took examples, foreign taxpayers can not only utilize such service to appoint agent to look into income list, information of deduction and filing tax returns, but making an appointment to mail tax related certificates. Such as Tax Certificate, whenever the assessment is done by NTBT, taxpayers can expect the receipt of tax certificate under the appointed address. Refund notice will be sent to the appointed address while the check is ready. Furthermore, NTBT would inform agents to file tax return, to get tax brochures or check based on the requirements in time. Far beyond that, foreign taxpayers can also make an appointment of service for next year's taxes in advance, like calling for NTBT to mail blank tax return, tax bill as well as brochures.One-time application, whole-year services will be provided for free.

NTBT expressed that, the response to this customized services is quite overwhelming. To maintain the service quality, NTBT called on that, foreign taxpayers shall evaluate his/her personal needs and documents required and specify the extra requirement items circumspectly in order to maximize the benefit of services. By means of this customized services, it may not only meet the requirements of foreign taxpayers, but also respond to the principle of conserving energy and reducing carbon emission.
