I like the logo. Very smart thinking. It's simple and to the point. Bold but crisp in how it looks and represents well.

Just a suggestive thought for future alternative "branding"... The negative (black writing on a white background) would work well. "The ODD Party" and as a logo in general, having 'nline' beside the 'O', has great potential.

Colour is psychological. I think implementing grey on the inside of the 'O' would highlight that not everything is "black and white" as traditional law was seen. This 'black and white' mentality still exists in society.

This "branding" will also allow for future campaigns to be colourful. The simplicity of the logo, Peter has created, allows for this.

Humans sell themselves everyday. ODD will need to sell itself to the public. Online and offline (the 'O' can be used for offline in future initiatives).

Just some thoughts for the future.

I just moved this discussion to the Inner Circle.

I'm not sure that this discussion belongs here in the Inner Circle or in the Public Relations circle. I suppose we can leave it here for some of the IC members that haven't voted yet then move it to the Public Relations group.

It belongs in the centre of SOL - where-ever that is. I feel the centre of SOL is the IC atm... again i raise the problem/issue of splitting everyone off into subgroups - when in actual fact we need to make MOST decisions in one central group.

We will need to separate into groups eventually and start to focus on narrower categories or we will never achieve anything. I think for now we are still getting the core issues settled and it is understandable that we all want a say in all matters.

The name is a very important decision and the core group should be involved. The question is, do the other active sub-group members have a right to have a say too. The IC is the group with the most active members so I think it would be fine if we made the decision but we must give the others a chance to be heard, like Peter Lindsay.

If we changed the name of our main Loomio group from "Senator Online INNER CIRCLE" to "Senator Online Staff", we could use that group as a place for discussions and proposals that include all our staff and have the IC as a sub-group from that.

That would not reflect the way that SOL is actually structured, but it would serve a purpose and suit our Loomio needs more.

I highly recommend changing the name to anything other than something like ‘Inner Circle’, which to me sounds elitist. Senator Online Staff sounds good.

@emmawardle I was thinking the same thing about "Management Circle" and "Coordinators Circle" which were the other suggestions at the time.
