Loomio

See which group members are online

See that group members are active in Loomio at that time, it can be useful when a person mentioned in our commentary and wish to wait your answer

Greg Cassel

@carlosgallogaravan , do you mean something like "____ is online"?

Greg Cassel

Thank you for clarifying that. :) I'd be interested in knowing if Loomio has considered this idea.

Alanna Irving

Real time chat has been suggested and discussed here, and I suppose this would be part of it?

Gray

Provided participants had the freedom to mute their own visibility. The ability to 'lurk' (not keen on that word) is a powerful transitional experience for community building.

@alanna No chat request, is enough to see group members online

Steve Phillips / @elimisteve

@alanna Is there an official list of features that the Loomio team has agreed to implement, perhaps ones that result from discussions such as this one?

Alanna Irving

@elimisteve check out loomio.org/roadmap

There's no definitive list of what we will implement beyond what's in Next Up and In Progress because we use a very responsive and agile process. The focus for the short term will be on reaching feature parity for Loomio 1.0 with Loomio Beta, and then we have very limited resources for new feature development.

Alanna Irving

But we do try to capture every idea from the community in the backlog, which means it will be considered for development when there is capacity.

Carlos Gallo Garavano

@alanna Please Alanna, I can you clarify the process within Trello:
a) first step Inbox placed in the useful idea
b) Loomio install the useful idea, which is on 'Next Up' and 'In Progress'.
That process exists between a) and b)

Alanna Irving

@carlosgallogaravan all ideas which are clear and are not repetitions of other trello cards are put in the inbox. The development team discusses the inbox cards to see if they are possible and if they are a good idea. If yes, they are usually moved to the backlog, unless they are really urgent (a critical bug). Moving things from the backlog to "next up" or "in progress" depends on the capacity of the team, what we think is most important to work on, what fits with other changes being worked on, etc. There is no guarantee that something in the backlog will ever get moved up, but we do consider all the ideas.
