Mural Ideas
With the help of the hyde park graffiti artist Ryan Smith(also did street art at canal mills festivals) lets create a food co-op shutter that attracts all the students that should be getting involved with our fabulouuus shop. Put your ideas down on this discussion so we can be sure that everyone agrees on the look of the artwork. Colourful creativity desired :D

I like the group of people working together idea. And also think that something that promotes the values, like organic local environmentally friendly etc....not sure how that translates into art though!!

Do we want some information on there as well as just pictures? It might be good to have something that explains what we are/what we do/ when we're open?

Hannah, Issy, Fern and I had a good meeting on this last week with many ideas coming up, I don't have the minutes but can remember most of it if they aren't available. :)

jk. i agree about the peace signs and other 'reserved' hippy symbols, but i still think its an artwork and doesn't have to be restricted by who we are, but rather use that as a ground on which to build up an image of what we are striving towards

People seemed happy at the meeting last week to collect ideas about what members would like to see on the mural (potentially using a template they could decorate themselves). This way everyone is included and the final design will be as representative as possible of what everyone wants.

Just as an update, if you hadn't already seen it. I have left the template flyer at the shop for people to take away so make sure to promo the mural to our members :) let me know if i need to print anymore! The information is on the bottom but it needs to be handed in by hand by the end of next week or to my email which is on the flyer! Gte creating

It should engage the masses and not isolate us as that hippy group with the rabbit food! So I think it would be best if there were no peace signs or globes! Also I don't think it has to entirely be about the co-op so I don;'t think it should have tubs of food etc but something about a group of people working together i'd like that :)
