Merging Sub-Groups
Matthew Cropp PublicSeen by 73A Project I'm part of recently voted to merge two sub-groups with overlapping scopes. At the moment my sense of the best way to do that would be to rename one group, add the other's members, move relevant threads from one to the other, and archive the defunct half.
However, that would lose half of the "memory" of decisions from one group (unless "Previous Decisions" follow the thread?), so I'm wondering if (A) someone has a better idea for how to merge sub-groups, and (B) if there's some developments that would allow for a less kludgey way of doing so?

For others who may be interested in this functionality, we've successfully merged subgroups for this request, and will be able to do the same for your group if you reach out. \o/
Previous decisions do follow the thread. We can merge subgroups on Loomio.org for you if you wish. Just send the details (ie: group urls) to contact@loomio.org. Sounds like a feature to add to the backlog.
