What do we have and what do we need?

AJ Aleks Jovanovic Public Seen by 11

Dear BIS team members / practitioners,

I would like to create some space for us to meet a little more often so that together we can identify whats working well and where we may have gaps to fill. I'd like to schedule in some regular (weekly) times over the next couple of months, in addition to our monthly meetings.

Each session will have a specific topic, supervision/coaching/teams/structure,training, FBA's, wisdom map, Restrictive Practices etc...

I would like to invite you to suggest some topics for these sessions and I'll do my best to prioritise them and schedule them into weekly MS Teams meetings.

Can I also ask you to suggest preferred days/times during the week and I'll do my best to be as flexible as possible.

The aim here is for us to :

  1. Draw our attention to what we have

  2. Draw our attention to what we need

  3. Co create better systems of work

  4. Have a positive impact on the individuals and communities we work with.

  5. Maybe even develop a strategic plan to work towards.

I look forward to hearing from you all :)

Continuous Improvement/Development- including NDIS Commission requirements/review.

Restrictive Practices (specifically the state based systems/processes).

Links with other teams/resources.

Accountability- co accountability and responsibility.

Coaching- what it is and what it isn't . What do we want this to be?

Hi Aleks,

Thanks for hosting this space.

Regarding your suggestion (I'd be happy to present what we came up with at the BiS gathering)

My topics:

  • FBAs

  • Quality control - peer reviewing

  • Service delivery/break down - what does it look like for each of us
