Executive positions 2026

During the meeting the following positions were proposed:

• Jeroen as President

• Tom as VP for North America, Liaison with SAC committee

• Codrina as VP for Europe, Liaison with Conference Committee / FOSS4G global conference (and regionals?), Code Sprints

• Mike as Treasurer

• Tim as Liaison with Sponsorship

• Astrid as Secretary

I've put together a more concrete list of tasks that could fit the different roles board members can take responsibility for.

Roles on the OSGeo board

• President

• Vice-presidents for regions (Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Oceania)

Both President and Vice-presidents represent OSGeo to promote its mission

• Treasurer

  • Prepare budgeting

  • Invoicing and payments

  • Contracts

  • Accounting

• Secretary

  • Meeting agenda preparation

  • Minutes and actions

  • Keep an eye on procedures

  • Inbox info@osgeo.org monitoring

  • Contributor License Agreement (CLA) and other document archiving

• Liason roles

  • System Administration Committee

    • Participate to SAC meetings

    • Maintain overview of OSGeo infrastructure and cost

  • Conference Committee, FOSS4G conferences and code sprints

    • Participate in Conference Committee meetings

    • Maintain OSGeo events calendar

  • Sponsor and supporting memberships

    • Develop and maintain sponsor and membership plans

    • Maintain relationships with sponsors

  • Marketing and Website

    • Participate to Marketing Committee meetings

    • Responsible for website maintenance and marketing activities
