Reactions (emoji and comments) to Votes?
Is there an intentional reason users can react and respond to comments but not votes (especially votes with embedded comments)? How would people feel about that as a feature?
Expanding more on my cautiousness (which is mainly around reacting to proposals): I have an expectation that it will confuse users to see thumbs up and down reactions on proposals (which are the same image as vote agree/disagree).
It's possible that we create a different set of reactions for polls and votes which don't include thumbs up/down.
Really pleased you've brought this up. Thanks!
Hmm, yes I could see the confusion with emoji reactions specifically. I think the biggest issue for me right now is that there's no smooth way to respond to the comments that can be included in votes. So perhaps the reaction should be to the comment (if there is one) rather than to the vote itself...
Cool! so am I right in reading that you'd really like to be able to reply to votes with a comment? and reactions on votes are less important?
Yup!
The truth of the matter is that I was feeling cautious about what it might mean to users to have someone react to their vote.
We're very interested in what you and other users have to say about this. Would you like reactions (and even replies) to votes? Do you feel that enabling this would unlock value for you?
