Car sharing/transport app??

BG Britta (Unicorn Grocery) Public Seen by 116

We are having a student placement at Unicorn Grocery to look at the potential use of technology to encourage customers to reduce car use. Ideas may include researching the feasibility of developing an app or making better use of existing technology to promote car sharing or public transport. Do any of you fellow co-operators know of good examples in the UK or beyond that he could investigate or any good people that he could get in touch with to help with this?

I haven't got any examples to suggest but more people might see your request if you post it on the CoTech forum and/or the ICA forum.

For our cohousing community, Lancaster Cohousing, Miles Doubleday has developed a car sharing web site. It's quite clever. It will be done on a Microsoft stack. Please get back to me if you can't find him.

Could you share a link? I'm wondering if its suitable for the likes of Teviot Electric Car Club - TECC, a cooperatively owned community car club using electric vehicles. thanks.

Did you manage to get hold of Miles, who built and is maintaining our car club booking system? [email protected]

There's always the possibility of starting your own cycle delivery workers' coop by using the CoopCycle platform and joining the federation. https://coopcycle.org/en/
