Sign-on to Support D.C. Council Worker Reinstatement Bill

According to the bill summary page on the D.C. Council’s website, this bill would “provide eligible workers who have been displaced by COVID-19 the opportunity to be reinstated once their employer reopens after the pandemic."
The objective of this letter is to advocate for D.C. Council members to pass the bill. The coalition behind this letter has also asked that supporting organizations participate in a social media push on November 30 in support of the bill.

Passing this bill is critical for ensuring that workers laid off during the pandemic have a right to their old jobs. Our chapter has worked in coalition with several members of the coalition who have already signed the letter of support.
