@hoanitapuawalker I can't see if Marisa has joined in the korero but FYI I have started working on the Mangakahia release and have used the text from Matua Bob as his "quote" I know my work will definitely need a clean up so it'll be great if you can jump in to see what needs tuning http://bit.ly/2ZLvIVV

@annabrown2 I'll continue making edit suggests however.. IMO draft has too many messages: Suggest we set a schedule were we can stagger releases with good timing: For the short-term Recommend:

  1. Release Mangakahia update (standalone) - Using less copy than anticipated.

  2. Follow-up in a week, include residual copy with additional "who is KAM" messaging incl. details of:
    a) Young WG & new collaborative effort to modify TIMA for ALL Hapū.
    b) TIMA Hui 25th where WG plan to present "recommendations" for changes.
    c) Openness for Hapū/ WG members/ Kaimahi to join in our collaborative approach.

  3. Post TIMA Hui release after 25th - We release some proposed changes + Further invite more collaboraters

  4. Release approx 14 days prior to next KAM hui with strong invitations to attend and join online discussion. Remind Ngāpuhi of our ability to shape the conversation.

cool thanks for outlining the plan above . Was there discussion of defining the Comms schedule in the comms plan? that way the comms plan will identify the audience, channels, and targetted key messages and who is responsible for each component :)

I can pencil some of that in, as a beginner, unsure what (proper) formatt looks like, but i'll give it a go.
Will load this korero temporarily, and when @marisaballe has more info hopefully she'll tidy things up.

Yea nah I know :sunglasses:
Hey also, I think we should be removing your name and number from this and future releases..
The KAM email is already more detail than other releases provide (generally) + its probably the cleanest look to present>
Also think we should with hold that to dissway requests to interview, until after our next release next week..
We'll have time to "walk the talk" between now and then re: collaboration amongst ourselves and learning new tools/
We'll also prep our messaging ahead of time and prepare our speakers more..

It's actually a strategic step because using a real person's name adds a "human factor" to the Media Release and shows that we are "owning" the comms and not hiding behind a generic title. It will be even more prudent once Marisa comes onboard, although I'm not certain that she will want her name on the releases, but it's a necessary step because it adds credibility. I am happy for my name and number to be used because once we can focus on our comms strategy, I am going to start pushing my contacts and getting media exposure for our kaupapa :)

Yay :) I've had a quick squizz at the latest version and love your guys work. Are we able to look at a different angle for the list of hapū because unfortunately it's too premature for us to mention because we haven't requested commitment from our hapu @hoanitapuawalker @marisaballe

@annabrown2 @marisaballe we need to work towards assuming ownership of the tuhoronuku FB page, We need to find a pathway which allows that to happen... (some of) the audience we need to contact are reachable through that page... 5.4k likes - a good start...
