Conference Call Meeting

Meeting “Check-in”
Minutes of the previous meeting: The previous minutes were passed in loomio.
Reports from Subgroups:
* Administration
Joum - Asked if, in future, the sub-IG meeting could be offset to this meeting by a week to allow
more time to prepare the minutes before this meeting.
Pail – asked Joum to fix loomio pages with heading and members.
Joum – ok
Oliver – has done this for his pages.
* AEC
Berge – has had no contact with the AEC since our last meeting. We have 10 new members.
Joum – are they members of the party?
Berge – officially the executive needs to pass them.
Oliver – Berge has been forwarding me his correspondence.
Joum – reminds we will need to have an AGM
Paul – put under Internal Governance. Paul asked Berge, “is loomio a good platform for
membership?”
Berge – perhaps email is better.
Oliver - Asked what the purpose of putting in loomio.
Berge – explained it is like official method.
Joum – suggested Berge could present a list of new members at the next meeting and we could
'rubber stamp' them as accepted new members.
Berge – Suggested we need to change the party name within a month. An AEC name can contain
up to 6 words.
* Website
Oliver – Membership application live online. Working with Berge to make sure compliant.
Vollunteer form live too. Auto email should go to one person so not confusing who should respond.
Berge – Send to 2 people and understand there is an order for who should respond and the 2nd
person will wait to see if a response is sent from the 1st person.
Joum – said that Oliver needs to determine who the 2 people are and that the 1st person needs to
copy a response/reply to the 2nd person.

Oliver – yes, Ricky has been editing.
Ricky – told Paul we need a picture and info/
Joum - * Joum said he wants to leave the Website Group.
Oliver – Ok Joum. Oliver estimated 4 people have access to email marketer. Said next drive for
new members will be with the newsletter.
* Newsletter
Ricky – the Newsletter has come to a stop.
Joum - said, “I will get my head around email marketer and work with Ricky on the Newsletter.”
Joum thinks 1st newsletter should be 'dot point' with not too much unnecessary info.
Oliver – Who is manager
Joum – I will.
Oliver – Ricky is support.
* Social Media - ?
Ricky – have Malcom Minks doing twitter. Created a Google Plus Acvcount for SOL. Ricky
contacted Francois and he agreed to manage youtube account. Facebook SOL Public Forum has
increased membership.
* Internal Governance (sub)
Paul – Name change needed for this main group.
Ricky proposed Inner Circle. Said he didn't like the title of 'manager' for groups.
THE MEMBERS OF THE MEETING VOTED TO ACCEPT THE NEW NAME “INNER
CIRCLE”. Passed
Berge – * Berge said he wants to leave the Internal Governance Group.
Paul – Ideas for when to organise an AGM?
Berge – Constitution 9.1 12 to 16 months from the last, which was October 2013.
General Business:
Oliver – Newsletter. 1St should introduce new people.
Joum – perhaps introduce departments and what they are doing.
Berge – likes both Oliver and Joums ideas.
Joum – will try and put together a blend of the people and departments with a picture of people.
Oliver – Ricky has possession of his pic and info.
Joum – will get from Ricky.
