Trello

Hey Team,

If you're not familiar with Trello, hop on over to www.trello.com and sign up, its a great tool.
I've created a SOL Software organisation and I've sent out some invitations.

I'd like to suggest we create a board over there so we can track our work, delegating tasks and really starting to be a driving force in SOL.
I'm not suggesting in any way that we should move away from Loomio, I think Loomio is where we should decide what the Software team's next move should be, and Trello is a great place to manage, delegate and track it.

The Loomio people use trello too, so they won't mind you pointing us there.

Another tool to learn. But it sounds like it is worth it.

i thank Tom for pointing us in the direction of trello as i thank Ricky for trying to get us there before Tom did... as for me personally - i know we need to be there - but i am just so tired of learning how to use so many different pieces of software... so i will get there - when i have the energy to get there.....

Boards have been created on Trello, we're off to a good start.
I'm looking forward to the next software meeting, I'd like to pick your brains!

Once I understand what your goals are for this group I can start researching what needs to be done to make them happen and turning them into 'cards' on trello. Its a great way to break a big job down into small parts that anyone can jump on and start work on.

I had a little experience with it a few years ago but am still not really good with it.

I had the idea that we could use it to list features that we would like to see in the software and then vote them up the list. Much like what Loomio developers are doing in the second column of this page:

Does anyone know how to create a board like the Loomio Roadmap, where we can have a card for each feature that we would like to see in the software and have the members vote the cards up to see which is more important?

We could just have the features on a Facebook poll but it wouldn't be as good as having them on Trello, as Trello would make it easier to start assigning tasks. It would just flow better.
