Freeville School project - we need a wall
Tim Veling and I are working with Freeville School to create a kind of 'mind-map' - a series of speculations and imagined reinterpretations of the Freeville space. We want to see if we could use a wall, across the road from the TEZA space, to build a 'paste up' project that grows by the day. We've located a specific wall ... does anyone know how we'd communicate with the owners of this space? (I'll try to upload the photo somewhere on this site).

ALSO: i spoke to the guy who's co-ordinating the wall that you originally had your eye on. the vision there is to paint a child blowing a bubble and all sorts of young people come along and paint something within each of the bubbles. i reckon your project would be perfect to go within a bubble... his name is Richard (pops) baker & you can get him on 0220276407

Also I met the New Brighton project people just further down in the mall and they were open to us using this great wall. We're thinking of a potential film screening here and i'm sure they'll be keen on a paste up if other places don't pan out. Trying to attach pic but????

Yes! Great! I was just about to upload a pic I managed to get out and take of the wall yesterday, but @timbarlow bet me to it.
We'd really love to use this wall and if needed could leave one of the side walls clean for a movie projection if needed? @davidcook , what do you reckon?
So, @sophiejerram or @timbarlow , are you able to secure the wall for us or would you like us to make contact with the owner?

@timjveling my apologies this slipped from the to-dos for the week on Friday. I will chase - talk to Richard that @rebeccamay knows as well as Countdown first thing Monday.
In other news, we are pretty sure we have wifi for the Creative QUarter and can possibly get it for Freeville area if you are still looking at the snapchat ldea? Does FV have any wifi already or shall we look to setting it up?

Not sure about the Snap Chat idea now, after talking with IT people and trying to figure out a way around being bound to social media sites, we've decided it would be better to try get the students into the New Brighton mall to participate in installing their work at various stages of the project. We're spending a day at Freeville this week, so we'll keep you posted...

OK @timjveling so do let us know the wifi requirements at Freeville and in the Creative quarter OR on the wall further down the mall as I'm just filing an internet NZ application for funding for this.

I don't think we'll need wifi in the space where the wall is. The school has a wifi network we can use, and internet connectivity in just the creative quarter fine with us. I can also connect to the internet via my iPhone portable hotspot if needed, so no problem.
