Thanks, working for me again now too. I think it was actually worker ealier too but my browser/ router or whatever had cached it as down. A hard refresh and it came back.
@jdaviescoates @samtoland @devinmcpherson @jonasbenn Sorry for the recent outages... We currently have capacity problems we are battling with, which cannot be resolved until we bump up to the next version of Mastodon. Hopefully, the upgrade will be performed by the end of the month.

I am unaware of any documentation that describes this .... Currently, myself and @mayel are leading technical operations with a view to onboarding others in the near future — as our collective bandwidth is getting thinner as we engage with other projects. Hosting provider is primarily managed by @mayel with tertiary services like CDN/monitoring managed by me. Does that answer your question?
It's down for me this morning.
For me the site has been offline since about 22:00 GMT on Tuesday. Someone has made an almighty mess of the DNS - in fact right now there are no DNS records for the domain.
In fact, if we had the IP address of the server we would probably still login.
I tried 51.15.35.196 as suggested in the tech working group, but it seems to not be working: the IP correctly resolves to social.coop, but Firefox keeps telling me the site is unaccessible
It was the domain name. Now renewed.
How can I get involved in helping with server stuff? Happy to lend a hand when something like this happens. -Ed
I have the same thought. In fact I've no doubt we probably have more tech knowledge and expertise in this group than we care to think about. The challenge is access to the levers.
