Cabaret at Nest
So I was in touch with both of the potential organisers of the cabaret, I know that both of the original organisers decided not to continue organising it.
So does anyone have a clue what is happening with the cabaret in the end?

fair enough, maybe it was too much background details sorry. :/

Could be worth a non-Loomio shout out? Unless The Whisper wanted to host something?

Dan is no longer planning to be involved in cabaret this year. Clive isn't coming to Nest. Nadaav is interested but wants to talk to people who've run it in the past, before deciding to commit.

i have no news from nadaav but he was in touch wih me. i ll recontact him in that case and update the info here. I didn t want to organize it because i m quite busy already and i didn t want to fight for it (and also the location at the point which would be a tradition) but if the whisper takes over, it will probably on our stage slightly less place for audience but way better for the performer

The cabaret is welcome to use The Point. It's probably the biggest space available. I'm sure The Whisper Stage will be awesome, of course, I just don't know if there's enough space for the number of people likely to want to watch. The Point is also quite open so people can spill out.

ok i ve got an answer from nadaav, basically he s waiting from an answer form work to decide if it takes part of the cabaret or not (if the works happen he will only be able to come the we), and even if the things fell through(is itthe correct expression? does it means "not happening") , he ll just be able to host it and do his section but not really take part of the administration (gathering artist, doing a propoer line up).
Personnally i love the cabaret, it is one of my main highlight every year in any burn so if we don t have any proper stage manager, it is likely that the same things will happen like last year aka a good show in the end but way more chaotic.
Between the point and the whisper, let s see how it goes,

My feeling is that if you don't have someone organising, getting people to do stuff way in advance of the event and prepare, then checking in with people at the event then it basically won't happen.

that s my worry/feeling too :s

OK, so who wants to step up and be the stage manager for the cabaret? Any takers?

ok so i would love to propose my candidature but realistically, if someone else is ready to give me hand on this and a sharper focus on it, it would be really appreciated

It's not a cabaret, but there should be The Prom that Went Wrong on Thursday evening/night, which will have performer elements.
If anyone would like to help out at The Prom that Went Wrong, please get in touch with Dot Egg?
